Keeping Feet Warm This Christmas
Every holiday season, we at Trading Places International are reminded how truly fortunate we are. To give back to those who might not be so lucky, we host various contribution drives throughout the year. This season, we held our 3rd Annual Sock Drive; new, unworn socks and other requested goods were collected and donated to South County Outreach, an organization that helps the homeless get back on their feet and provides temporary housing for families in need.

We Thank Them All
Wikipedia states, “Veterans Day is an annual United States holiday honoring military veterans. A federal holiday, it is observed on November 11. It is also celebrated as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I.”
Across the country you may find various parades, ceremonies, military exhibits and tributes to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces. To show his support, Trading Places International’s President, RJ Jackson, wanted to share the following message…
“November 11th is Veterans Day and I know we as individuals might have varying thoughts about this special day. Our country currently has men and women serving their country in the military either within the USA or in places far away. As we honor our veterans from times past it might be a good time for us to reflect upon the need to thank our current armed forces members as they will become the veterans of the future. We currently enjoy freedom as a result of the efforts of many in the past and present and we know for sure, “Freedom is not free”. May God bless those in the military who protect our freedom and we thank them all.”

It was my first time in Cabo and it was a fantastic trip – fun-in-the-sun, delicious food, and great company. I arrived with 5 co-workers, and left with 5 friends!

Fiesta in New Mexico
After the wind slowed, the rain ceased and the lighting stopped zapping the horizon, the hot air balloons at this year’s Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta® were able to start puffing, as I like to call it. I have family in New Mexico and have visited all my life, yet this was my first time attending the fiesta. Unfortunately the poor AM weather Read more…
Travel Agents. Yes, We Are Still Out There
“Why use a Travel Agent? Are Travel Agencies still in business? I heard these questions repeatedly at the Laguna Niguel Community Business Fair we attended this past weekend. After organizing my handouts and creating an attractive Trading Places display booth, my expectations changed quickly. I had hoped to discuss the attractions on the new mega ships, the inclusive smaller ships and all of the great tours we offer. After the first few minutes, it was clear Read more…
Networking at C.A.R.E.
The reports are in as our representatives returned this week from the 51st semi-annual C.A.R.E. Conference – it was a success! The event, held at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, brought together the leaders in the timeshare exchange industry for a social gathering of seminars, presentations, and more. The welcome reception and dinner were the perfect place to mingle, and roll-call the following day proved to be helpful as always. Read more…
